새찬송가 93장 (통 93) 예수는 나의 힘이요
 

빌립보서 1:15-21
 

투기와 분쟁이나 착한 뜻으로 그리스도를 전파하는 자들
15 어떤 이들은 투기와 분쟁으로, 어떤 이들은 착한 뜻으로 그리스도를 전파하나니 16 이들은 내가 복음을 변증하기 위하여 세우심을 받은 줄 알고 사랑으로 하나 17 그들은 나의 매임에 괴로움을 더하게 할 줄로 생각하여 순수하지 못하게 다툼으로 그리스도를 전파하느니라
15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish

ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.

어떤 방도로든 그리스도가 전파되는 것을 기뻐함
18 그러면 무엇이냐 겉치레로 하나 참으로 하나 무슨 방도로 하든지 전파되는 것은 그리스도니 이로써 나는 기뻐하고 또한 기뻐하리라
18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,

그리스도가 존귀하게 되는 삶과 죽음
19 이것이 너희의 간구와 예수 그리스도의 성령의 도우심으로 나를 구원에 이르게 할 줄 아는 고로 20 나의 간절한 기대와 소망을 따라 아무 일에든지 부끄러워하지 아니하고 지금도 전과 같이 온전히 담대하여 살든지 죽든지 내 몸에서 그리스도가 존귀하게 되게 하려 하나니 21 이는 내게 사는 것이 그리스도니 죽는 것도 유익함이라
19 for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. 20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
